Out of the late 70’s early southern California punk rock scene came the art of Raymond Pettibon. An artjourney at began with creating posters and album art and landed in galleries, museums and the homes of major art collectors. Pettibon’s comic-like drawings are full of disturbing, ironic or ambiguous text that sometimes gets violent and anti-authoritarian.

“We’re not back,” Cristina Martinez said because Boss Hog never left. Boss Hog gave a free concert for Union Pool’s Summer Thunder Presents on August 13, 2016 and they did two sets. Boss Hog is Jon Spencer, Cristina Martinez, Jens Jurgensen, Hollis Queens and Mickey Finn.

In the neighborhood of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, Ty Segall’s new punk band, Goggs played in Brooklyn for the first time on July 22 along with locals Cheena and Surfbort.
